21 year old artstudent Way was charged with murder after he killed his tutor John Miller, a 45 year old art professor, a married man and father of two. The case attracted considerable public attention due to the rather decadent and somewhat morbid details as Way was found dressed up in drag locked in a room with the decaying body . It was revealed later that Miller had some sort of affair with Way in which the student had to pretend to be„ his little lady Geena“ On the day of the crime, Miller had called Way into his office to tell him that he wanted to break off the affair. Upon this Way suffered a hysterical fit which resulted to the affect killing of Miller with a pair of scissors. This prompted the press to refer to Way as „ The Scissor Sister“, a nick name by which he is still known in prison. It was debated whether Way should be send into an asylum for the criminal insane but various psychological tests proved that Way does not suffer any mental illnesses and his deed was more a crime of passion than the act of a madman . He was sentenced to 30 years.
